Our Minnesota roots are strong, and in this state, so is the love of hockey. That’s why we’re excited to announce our newest community partnership with Minnesota Hockey. Together, we will work to support youth hockey families across the state through the recently created Minnesota Hockey Legacy Fund. This fund will provide grants to Minnesota Hockey individuals, families, organizations, or associations in need of financial support to overcome hardships.
“Sun Country Airlines is proud to support hockey families in our local community,” said Sun Country Airlines Chief Marketing Officer Brian Davis. “We are excited to launch this partnership with Minnesota Hockey and to help them grow the game with youth players across our home state.”
As the “Official Airline of Minnesota Hockey” and a Premier Grow the Game partner, Sun Country Airlines will also support the Gear Up Minnesota equipment grant program, aimed at attracting new players by making hockey more accessible.
“We are thrilled to launch this initiative for the 2018-2019 season and beyond,” said Minnesota Hockey President Dave Margenau. “We are also so thankful to Sun Country Airlines for their support of this program and their focus on helping as many children as possible fall in love with the game of hockey. It is our member families and volunteers that make our community-based model so special, and the Legacy Fund is a way that we can give back to many of those members in need.”
